Next Morning…

Standing at the open door, I breathe the bright new day – the garden, bursting with fresh greenery; a blackbird amongst a mass of pink roses, pouring out his song; a gentle background chorus of 1000 small birds, and a raucous flurry, as the mother gull nesting on our chimney worries over her chicks. Yesterday’s raindrops are sparkling on leaves and petals. Next door, our neighbour is whistling softly as he tends his sweet peas.
