Still January…

I take back all those remarks about unseasonable weather.  Here is the view across the estuary from my top window, here in Northam, North Devon: taken on 18th Jan.

And to follow, here is a small piece I made down by the river on Jan 22nd – with numb fingers in the cold winter rain. It was a  contribution to the Winter Workshop of the wonderful Yatoo Nature Art organisation.    Take a look at their website yatooi.com  to see works of nature artists from around the world.

About throughstones

I am an environmental artist, living on the North Devon coast, a beautiful semi-rural area in South West England. My practice is wide-ranging:- sculpture, land art, nature art, installation (both large and small-scale), written text, photography... As Essential Nature, I also carry out small public events and art walks in the landscape. My work, in all its forms, is about our relationship with the earth and cosmos. It is a way of turning a space into a meaningful place, for others as well as for myself.
