Uppacott Wood

We had a fabulous walk this morning in the frosty woods, pottering about, drawing, painting, taking photos. Sun filtering through the trees made everything sparkle. It is good to be alive!

This is a small mostly oak woodland – a nature reserve owned and cared for by the Devon Wildlife Trust for the benefit of the local ecosystem… and ourselves of course, the fleeting visitors.

About throughstones

I am primarily a visual artist, living on the North Devon coast, a beautiful semi-rural area in South West England. I am interested in full engagement with 'place' and the eternal movement of life - particularly as it relates to what we call 'the natural environment'.
