Fall

This work was made at the very end of a warm and perfect summer, when the first hint of autumn could be felt in the air. I could almost locate the shift in season to a split second. It felt like a light switch being turned off.

Exploration of the natural world in terms of colour, light, texture and so on is important of course – but this was not in the forefront of my mind when making ‘Fall’. Rather, it was a precise and natural response to a moment in time at a particular spot on earth.

About throughstones

I am primarily a visual artist, living on the North Devon coast, a beautiful semi-rural area in South West England. I am interested in full engagement with 'place' and the eternal movement of life - particularly as it relates to what we call 'the natural environment'.
